Lightning Network BTC Capacity grows further

The bitcoin capacity on the Lightning Network currently sits at 2,914 BTC, continuing the remarkable growth from earlier this year.

One of the most influential node operators, LNBig, added more than 150 BTC to their public Lightning channels this month, contributing to LN’s public capacity’s accelerated growth in September.

One of the most influential node operators, LNBig, added more than 150 BTC to their public Lightning channels this month, contributing to LN’s public capacity’s accelerated growth in September.

Additionally, El Salvador’s bitcoin law has likely contributed to a further acceleration of the Lightning adoption. El Salvador’s president Nayib Bukele announced earlier this week that more than 2.2 million Salvadoreans had been onboarded on the Chivo app.
