What are the fees on K33?

There are zero deposit, withdrawal, and trading fees on K33, and setting up an account is completely free. Our pricing is directly included in the quoted Bid/Ask spread, so you are not charged in any other way.

How are my assets protected on K33?

Fully separated from K33’s balance sheet, all FIAT-currencies stored with us are 100% held on our Norwegian bank account at SpareBank 1, and all cryptocurrencies stored with us are 100% held within K33’s cold-storage custody infrastructure in Norway.

What is K33’s regulatory status?

K33 is registered with the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority and audited annually by RSM Norge AS. K33 is a 100% subsidiary of Arcario AB, listed as ARCA on Nasdaq First North in Stockholm, Sweden.

Getting Started

How do I create an account with K33?

You can apply for a free account with us here. You will then receive an email invitation from us to go through our online verification process.

What documents are needed for the online verification process?

A valid identification document (Passport, ID, driver’s license), a stable internet connection, and access to a smartphone or computer camera.

How long does the verification process take?

The online verification process typically takes 5-10 minutes for private individuals. We will review your application and typically give you feedback within one business day.

Account Setup

How do I log in to K33?

You can access our brokerage platform here using your registered email address, password, and 2 Factor Authentication Code.

How do I reset my password on K33?

How does the 2 Factor Authentication work?

The 2 Factor Authentication (2-FA) on K33 requires you to enter a verification code displayed on your registered device in addition to your password during the login process.

To set up the 2-FA for the first time, please download a mobile app on your smartphone such as the Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, and use it to scan the displayed QR code after entering your temporary password.

What if I lose my 2-FA access device?

Trading

How does trading work on K33?

Unlike most other platforms, we operate as a brokerage, not an exchange. This means when you trade, you do it directly with us and we source the liquidity from a large liquidity provider in the background.

In the case of an exchange however, your trade typically has to be matched with someone else's who wants to trade in the opposite direction, which can be tricky and often leads to a worse execution price, especially in fragmented markets like crypto.

What is a Request for Quote (RFQ)?

Instead of the typical order book system where different users’ orders have to be matched, you can simply request a quote for your desired trade amount on K33. By accepting the offered quote, you can secure your trade immediately.

Please note that the offered quote is not binding as it typically updates after a few seconds depending on the market volatility. If successfully executed, you will receive an immediate trade order confirmation via email.

Are there any size limitations on K33?

There are no size limits for trading on K33. Depending on the plausibility of the transaction sizes, we might contact you via email to request additional origin of funds documentation for regulatory compliance.

Which currencies are supported on K33?

We offer 7 fiat currencies and 34 cryptocurrencies for trading. The complete list of tradeable cryptocurrencies can be accessed here.

Deposits

How can I deposit FIAT/Crypto to my account?

When logged in, click on the Wallet icon on the top right of your screen. Select the FIAT or cryptocurrency you would like to deposit and follow the displayed instructions.

What are the processing times for FIAT deposits on K33?

FIAT deposits are credited during our business hours shortly after arriving in our bank account. You will get an automatic email notification as soon as the funds are ready for trading.

What are the processing times for crypto deposits on K33?

Crypto deposits are processed manually due to our enhanced security and screening process. During our business hours, crypto deposits are typically credited within a few hours. Outside of our business hours, crypto deposits are credited on a best effort basis. You will get an automatic email notification as soon as the funds are ready for trading.

There are no deposit limits on K33. Depending on the plausibility of the transaction sizes, we might contact you via email to request additional origin of funds documentation for regulatory compliance.

FIAT withdrawals are processed during our business hours and typically take 1-3 business days. Transactions are sent directly from our bank account at SpareBank 1. You will get an automatic email notification as soon as the funds have left our bank account.

What are the processing times for crypto withdrawals on K33?

Crypto withdrawals are processed manually due to our enhanced security process. During our business hours, crypto withdrawals are typically processed within a few hours. Outside of our business hours, crypto wihtdrawals are processed on a best effort basis. You will get an automatic email notification as soon as the funds have left K33.
